Mississippi River at the Headwaters

We saw the Mississippi River at the Headwaters- my first time-/ The River is high here- flooding from snow melt and rains had just receded. The ground was very, very slippery, muddy and sticky. The mosquitos were as big and abundant as I have ever seen in my life!

Line3 Pipeline Protest Site

Line3 Pipeline protests. This verdant passive scene is deceptive. The pipeline travels underneath this ground we stood on and under the road we walked on. It was very moving to hear about the sustained work that took place, the length of time and the passion that sustains.
